Your life is full of seasons.

This season your kids are young. There will be a season where they will no longer need a ride, be in your home, or possibly be in the same country. Soon you will again have more time to work long hours, but this is not that season.

Remember, the year also has its seasons. Summer break and the holidays require more of your focus and energy. You may not be able to be as present for yourself in Dec as you are in February. Try to lean into the season you are in, and give yourself limitless grace as you are on this journey. The one constant....is change.

Self-validation practices can help fill in the gaps

Think of professional athletes that practice a certain movement thousands of times. An NFL football player has run a route thousands of times, contorting their body repeatedly in the same position to practice catching a pass. As they prepare for a game they continue to practice this same route to engrain this movement into their muscle memory. There never comes a point where they are preparing for a championship and decide to stop practicing.

Your life is the championship - this is not a test.

Every day counts.

Self-validation practices are the practices of you validating to yourself that you are living, making decisions, and surrounding yourself with, people who are in alignment with your mission. They are not for when you feel down or need a pep talk - they are regular practices of strength. It is the repetition that makes the muscle stronger, and less susceptible to injury, and engraining excellence in our muscle memory.
